Naomi Kutin seems like a typical 11-year-old Orthodox Jewish girl; watching her lift almost three times her body weight tells a different story. SUPERGIRL follows Naomi’s coming of age as she attempts to navigate the disparate worlds of competitive powerlifting and Orthodox Judaism – facing the physical and emotional challenges of her own body’s growth and development while struggling to conform to strict religious laws.  The film has been shown at festivals all around the world and had it’s TV premier on PBS Independent Lens in Dec 2017.
